ITS doesn’t seem to consider faculty as “stakeholders”

Attached to this post is a letter from UNCG’s IT department to whom it considers to be “Blackboard Stakeholders”. The list includes the Blackboard Steering Committe, the ATCC committe, and the ITCs in the schools. It lists the excuses for the performance of Blackboard this semester, and only has regrets for the groups who are effected by this most, faculty and students. Interesting reading. It makes no mention of the plans to upgrade to 8 this summer and 9 in the spring of ‘09. For an IT department that is slow to adopt new versions of desktop software, they seem to change Blackboard versions at the slightest whim.
