Extract Partial CD Track Using CDex

CDex is a free CD Audio extracting program that runs on Windows. It has several options, including ripping tracks as MP3s at lower quality that then standard 128kbs. ((The reason for ripping at a lower quality is to conserve space in the Bb learning environment. In most cases a setting of 96kbs will still convey enough audio information for class room and on-line instruction.)) One of these options is the ability to rip partial CD tracks, eliminating the need to use Audacity or other audio editor to trim your selection. Perhaps you only want to play the exposition of a work instead of the entire movement. With CDex, you can rip out just the section of audio you want. This tutorial will only work on the Windows OS.
